Coffee place Milan: Marchesi 1824
Opened in 1824 by the Marchesi family this is one of the oldest pasticcerie in Milan.
Amidst haute couture on the majestic Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II the family's third shop opened with arched windows and views onto the bustling mosaic pavement.
The elegant interior sparks the feeling of a secret garden with vibrant green wallpapers and dark wood, dark marble floors and velvet chairs with shelves lined with colorful jelly sweets.
Visit the shop's tea room to taste the hand-made cakes and confections or order an aperitif with a view. The soft-jelly candies, beautifully packaged, make for a good gift to bring home.
